Hey y’all! I’m moving on through these courses at Altenew and having a lot of fun! They are challenging my creativity for sure. This card was made for the class All That Shines.
This class is all about using shine and shimmer! And those two things are my main love languages!!! It’s kind of funny but right before I go to sleep each night I start thinking about card ideas. I always knew I wanted to use the gold frame and I originally thought I would base this off my wedding theme – black and white stripes and all shades of pink. Then… I couldn’t find any black striped paper so I decided to copy the themes on the back of the stamp sets. I always love what they have on the backs of those because they’re so uniquely coordinated.
The shine on these comes from the gold cardstock frame. I cut out the frame first and then stamped on the image and embossed with clear embossing powder. I also colored parts of the flowers (although you can’t see very well) with Wink of Stella. I just love those pens! Then I added some sequins to jazz it all up and tried out the triangle rule that she talks about in her class. Such a great idea!
